Bent Water Brewing Earns Two Medals at the 2024 Australian International Beer Awards

Lynn, MA – June 11, 2024 – Bent Water Brewing,  the award-winning craft brewery from Lynn, Massachusetts, is excited to announce that it received two medals at the prestigious 2024 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA). 

Thunder Funk, the brewery’s American IPA, secured a Silver Medal in the West Coast Style India Pale Ale category, while Premium Lager, its Pre-Prohibition style lager, was awarded a Bronze Medal in the American Style Lager category.

The Australian International Beer Awards, sponsored by Melbourne Royal, is one of the world’s most respected beer competitions. It celebrates excellence in brewing by evaluating entries from around the globe through a rigorous blind tasting by a panel of expert judges. The awards spotlight the craftsmanship and quality within the brewing industry, making this recognition a testament to Bent Water’s commitment to producing quality liquid.

The recognition from the Australian International Beer Awards builds on the previous success both Thunder Funk and Premium Lager have attained in blind tasting settings. Thunder Funk previously earned a “Superb” 95 rating from Wine Enthusiast, cementing its status as a standout beer in the crowded IPA market. Premium Lager, known for its crisp, refreshing taste and smooth finish, received a 92 rating from Wine Enthusiast.
